I understand the restoration project, but how are they going to protect the lines from Rain without covering them up?
Or do they mean to say they are going to protect the lines from flooding and run-off?

They need the lines to be preserved becuase they dont see the need to spend money on education in Peru.

The whole thing that makes the lines cool is how they have remained after many years without the need for human intervention (except to keep idiots from driving over them). If they somehow protect them from nature, then in my view this sort of defeats the whole idea of the lines.
Obviously the Peruvian view is that this is something they can make money on so they want to protect it so that they can keep using it to make a profit.

All measures that are taken to ensure a long life of wood fall under the definition wood preservation (timber treatment). Apart from structural wood preservation measures, there are a number of different (chemical) preservatives and processes (also known as timber treatment or lumber treatment) that can extend the life of wood, testking PW0-200 timber, wood structures or engineered wood. These generally increase the durability and resistance from being destroyed by insects or fungus.Add your comment
